Day 1: Cochin Arrival and drive to Munnar (135 Km / 4hr)
Morning Assistance by CT’s representative at Airport / Railway station and drive to Munnar. En-route witness the spectacular views of tea plantations and small villages & towns with lush green surrounding at the backdrop, Cheyyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls and Attukal waterfalls. The place called Adimali, a wholesale market for cardamom and other spices/masalas and Pallivasal are other attractions worth exploring. Once you reach Munnar city, check-in at Munnar Hotel for night stay.
Day 2: Munnar Local City Sightseeing
Morning Breakfast and proceed to explore the city attractions such as Mattupetty Dam (thralling views of gushing waters) and boat drive here is an optional and later visit the Echo point, to understand and experience the natural echo phenomenon, the famous Shooting Point where film shootings are organized and Kundale Lake offering shikara boating. Post Lunch continue for Sightseeing with visit to Tea Museum, Blossom Park and Pothenmedu View Point. Later drive back to Munnar hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady by Road (110 km / 3hr)
Post Morning breakfast and Munnar hotel check-out, engage your journey to Thekkady with en-route witnessing spectacular views of Pooppara, Vandanmedu, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Ankara. Hotel check-in and relax at hotel for a while in Thekkady. You can enjoy optional activities like elephant safari, Kalari Payette-a traditional south Indian martial art form, Kathakali show – traditional classical dancce form, Jungle Jeep safari, Ayurveda massage for South India is world wide famous, plantation visit and boating in Periyar. Night stay at hotel / resort in Thekkady.
Day 4: Thekkady to Kumarakom / Alleppey Resort/Houseboat stay (150 km / 3.5hr)
Check out Thekkady Hotel / Resort in morning post breakfast and drive to Alleppey / Kumarakom. On arrival, transfer to Hotel/Resort/Houseboat. Relax for a while. Later you opt for recreational activities such as fishing, village walk and optional boating in narrow canals. Sightseeing accompanied by local activities covers temples, churches, snake boat, bird sanctuaries, paddy fields etc. Night stay at Houseboat/ Resort or Hotel.
(Houseboat cruise through inland waterways and breathtaking backwaters of Kumarakom / Alleppey. There you can enjoy an overnight stay on the houseboat. Afternoon marks your arrival at Kumarakom / Alleppey, where you would be greeted with non-alcoholic welcome drink. Following this, cruise begins, taking through backwaters. Sightseeing includes visits to coconut lagoons, resorts of Kumarakom/Alleppey, bird sanctuary. Journey halts for lunch where fish, chicken etc, is served and continues again. Cruise stops in the evening and you can enjoy evening walk in the village. Sightseeing ends at night and you can relax in your A/C Houseboat rooms)
Day 5: Kumarakom / Alleppey to Kovalam (220 km / 5hr)
Cruise again starts in the morning after breakfast, driving you to Kumarakom. Sightseeing begins after breakfast and includes amazing destinations on the way, like Alleppey. Later check out the houseboat and drive to Kovalam a famous beach destination of Kerala in South India. On arrival, check-in at Kovalam Resort. Relax for while. Later start to explore the Kovalam beach and other coastal areas of lush green surroundings. Underwater scenery visible during snorkeling is also worth witnessing. Night stay at Kovalam Resort/ hotel for overnight.
Day 6: Kovalam Sightseeing
Morning breakfast at Kovalam Resort and later start exploring local city tourist attractions of Kovalam. Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Shangumugham beach, Sree art gallery, Planetarium and Kuthiramalika Palace. You may also like to visit Wildlife Park, Napier Museum and Priyadarshini. Evening back to Resort for relaxation and night stay at Kovalam Resort.
Day 7: Back to home
Today is the last day of Kerala backwaters tour in Kovalam. Enjoy your leisurely breakfast at Kovalam hotel / Resort. Later timely transfer to Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram Airport to board the flight for onward journey.
