Udaipur is surrounded by numerous lakes (five of the main lakes have been included in the National Lake Conservation Plan by the Indian government) and is nicknamed the “City of Lakes.” It is also known as the “Venice of the East” and is referred to as the “White City” because many of the palaces and buildings in Udaipur are primarily white. You can find unique murals in every alley of Udaipur, and the scenery of the lakes and mountains at sunset is incredibly relaxing and pleasant.

烏代浦被大大小小的湖泊包圍著，（五個主要的湖泊已被納入印度政府國家湖泊保護計畫內）有「湖之城- City of Lakes」的雅稱，也號稱是「東方威尼斯」，又由於烏代浦城裡的宮殿以及不少建築都是以白色為主，所以也有「白色之城」的稱號。
烏代浦每個小巷都可以看到很特別的壁畫，夕陽西下時的湖光山色，讓人感覺很舒服也很愜意。
